Saul Leiter was an American photographer whos work made a significant impact to color photography in the 1930s and 1940s. This can be seen why when looking at his work. His use of color and contrast is some of the best I've seen. Looking at the image above titled Harlem the very loud red of featuring the truck, the man's tie and font on the bar and truck all of these contrasted by the dark shadow on the mans face with a bright white cigarette coming out of his mouth. The image itself is super compelling with large words "HOUSE" and "BAR" really show off the image, and I really enjoy this image.

In this image titled Taxi Leiter the strong colors of red, yellow, and shades of orange are the most prominent things in this image. The photo to me feel warm most likely due to the choice of colors, it makes it feel like it's a hot summer day in what assume to be New York City due to the fact there is a taxi cab. The framing of the mans hand holding on to one of the roof handles which from experience being in a cab in New York City is sometimes needed. The reflection at the bottom of the photo is also very pleasing to look at as it reflects the building in the background.
