I feel like every time I write what photography means to it changes, which I find quite interesting. The thing that remains the same and the primary reason I was interested in photography is my father. As I grow I realized that I was interested in it solely to impress my father. I wanted to create images to get his approval. I don't write this to say I have a bad relationship with my father, but I can see his passion for photography so when I capture an interesting image and he agrees it is a fantastic feeling.

Getting more into what photography means to me personally, I see photography as an avenue to explore my creative side. I never felt like I was a very creative person I'm not very good at drawing or painting, so I just felt like I wasn't very creative. Then I took a photography class to try it because I thought that my dad could help me through the class. While going through my first photography class I was a little annoyed because I knew that I could do better, I was creating images that I didn't like, which is never a good feeling. It wasn't until I took cellphone photography that I saw how fun it was to create what I thought were interesting images and I wanted to know what people thought so I would show them. The people I would show these pictures to would tell me they looked good and honestly that was an emotion that I really enjoyed the feeling, which was pride in something I had created.
